I can smile find ease
almost forget where my hands land to what my mind wanders from where my feet have returned
I understand these pleasures they are old friends I’ve walked beside for those 10,000 hours they and me
becoming the us this way
yet there is a place too no smiles yet all the same with furrowed brow a delight hard won
a grander space dare I say a grander me
of course not recognized in the moment of furrowed brow
concentration consternation
yet wings there unfurling behind the hammer swung high in reformation
